I see plenty of daft questions that get responses like "Do you enjoy asking stupid questions" or "stop wasting everybodys time with stupid questions". What are they so upset about? In fact most questions on Y/A are a waste of time that could be answered better by Google or Wikipedia. The only questions that you could not get a better answer to elsewhere are the stupid ones.

Totally agree. I have tried to ask questions seeking some information about specific things. Of course, timing is everything in asking a question, but it seems to me overall that you don't come here to "be a better cat whisperer" or whatever. Many answerers are pretty lazy and basically point game the system for useless points.
Ask a stupid question, get 100 answers. Why? Because the answer is easy, just type two words, or call the question stupid, or thanks for the 2 points.
Ask what the proper closure for a business letter might be, you get 1 answer. Two if you include the smartass ones. Which is fine, I have no problem with intelligent hineys, but I do take issue with people that have no life other than to vent their frustrations out here, their petty annoyances and grievances. These are your real trolls, the ones that hover over the report button or ones that send you a detailed email explaining how big a waste of time your question was for their apparently incredibly busy schedule.
This website can only not be considered a waste of time if you add some fun, humor, and intelligent discourse. Y!A seems to be a little short in those departments, and in my opinion, Y!A is complicit in dumbing down this forum to the lowest common denominator of a report troll majority.
