Earlier today one of my mums friends put my mums best silk karen millen top in the washing machine. It is designed to be hand washed and now the bottom is crinkled and it has lost the colour.

Is there any way i can get it fixed or is it ruined completely?

There's not much you can do for the top now. See if you can find what store your mum bought it in, & try to replace it. Your mum's friend needs to read tags before washing clothes.

Get your mom a pretty scaft/belt accessory and maybe long necklace to match, so that she can wear the shirt tucked-in.

Note that after the silk is washed, the color will look different from when it dries. So not all might be lost!

It's pretty much impossible to bring a faded color back, but adding baking soda to the laundry detergent keeps the colors better (something to know for next time).

well eventually it was going to get like that
you cant keep a new thing new

its impossible

all colours fade in time so dont worry about that one

and the crinkles at the bottom can be sorted using an iron if not
get heavy books
and do it like a sandwhich wwith the top in the middle....the books will de-crease the crinkles....

Sounds like it's ruined. Your mum's friend should consider replacing the shirt because of the damage done.
