Go to Autozone or other car parts store and purchase some Radiotor stop leak. Don't go cheap with it. You want one that has metal in it that can seal the hole.
It is worth trying before you spend 400 bucks on a new radiator.
However, having the radiator professionally repaired is the best option of the three.
I have used the stop leak in the past, but only on used cars that were going to auction, so while it worked temporarily, not sure of long term effects. But if you are in a pinch, it may be worth a try.

Look at the estimate provided by the mechanic. A new radiator starts around $420 and goes up from there. You can have your old radiator repaired for $40 or so if you pull it out.

A rad from the dealer (best choice) will cost you around four hundred. You could get an aftermarket (non mazda) one for about $200-$300 at a local jobber(napa, oreilys, autozone) Installation time should be 3 hrs labor time.

I found a radiator for your car starting at 162.00. Get a good Repair Manual and you can do this yourself and save the 150.00 labor. Check out the link

fork over about 200 to 350 for the radiator and about 150 for labor or you can save the 150 plus and do it yourself
