12x - 8x² + (15x - 20 + 12x² - 16x)
12x - 8x² + 12x² - x - 20
4x² + 11x - 20

Well, its all distributive property.

So you want to distribute the 4 to the 3x [ 4(3x-2x^2) ]and then also with -2x^2. So multiply the 4 with the 3x and the 4 with the -2x^2. That gives you (12x - 8x^2).

Then do the same w/ the binomial, but use the FOIL (first, outter, inner, last) method. (5+4x)(3x-4)
Multiply the 5 with the 3x and the 5 with the -4. That gives you 15x and -20. Then multiply the 4x and the 3x and the 4x with the -4. That gives you 12x^2 and -16x.

Then you have this : (12x-8x^2) + (15x-20+12x^2-16x)

Add like terms (things that are the same) : 4x^2+11x-20

Good luck !

edit - I did this assuming you meant -2x squared. If that is the case, do not subtract the 3x from the 2x and have the ^2 (or the squared) all by itself, the problem no longer makes mathmatical sense if you do it that way.

For the first term you need to multiply by 4 and for the second term, you will need to F.O.I.L

(3x-2x^2)4=12x-8x^2
(5+4x)(3x-4)=15x-20+12x^2-16x=12x^2-x-20

Now adding the 2 together,

12x-8x^2+12x^2-x-20 = 4x^2+11x-20 <---- Answer

Ok, I think

(3x-2x^2)4+(5+4x)(3x-4)=
12x-8x^2 + 15x-20+12x^2-16
combine like terms
27x+4x^2-36

I think!

Well, first you have to simplify. So, 3x+(-2x) = 1x+4x= 5x+3x=8x. Then the ^2 is by itself, then the 4+5=9, +(-4) = 5
Then you order it using pemdas. Multiplication, then the addition. And there's your answers!

8x^2+5
