No, because your yard has nothing to do with your office in home. You can try deducting it on your taxes, but if the IRS questions it, you really wouldn't have a tax leg to stand on. As far as your rent and utilities go, you have to pay rent for the home office room as well as the rest of the rooms of your place, and need to have utilities for your place, but the landscaping would have nothing really to do with your home business.

Your personal residence? No, not deductible.
If you can make the case to the IRS that the landscaping maintenance is required for your business to make money, you might be able to take a portion of it, the percentage of your home that you claim for home office expense. But you could be looking for trouble by doing so. And from your description, YOU work from home but you don't say anything about meeting clients there regularly, so it's not likely to fly.

Normally that would not be viewed as a legitimate business expense for the production of income as it relates to a home office.
If you had a regular business premises in a commercially zoned district then any landscaping costs would be deductible.

I need more info. But, if this is just your house, then no, it's a personal expense/loss and is not deductible.
Do you have a business out of your house, is your house required to look nice for some reason, for instance, if your house was the display model for your contracting business, then in that case you could deduct the expenses on your Schedule C, Corporate return or whatever type of business entity you have.

Only if you make money from it and their service is part of your expenses to make money. For instance, if you had people pay you 5 dollars to walk through your yard because its so nice, then you could deduct the landscaping because you paid that money out to make the 5 dollars. Makes sense?
