If you are street fighting, I would severely recommend against it. While I think maybe one or two fights in a human's life gives them more character and gives them a different outlook on life, I don't think they should be planned for. For example, I got in a few little quarrels before in my life but both were for good reasons and spontaneous.

If you are a professional, then there is a vigorous training routine that you need to establish. The problem with this is that boxing and martial arts have rules, restrictions, and are fighting an opponent playing under the same rules and same fighting style. In an unorganized street fight, you could get severely hurt and the fight is more random and cannot be trained for.

However, professional fighters are under a strict diet and training schedule which involve excercises for speed, agility, strength and endurance. Jump roping, heavy bag, weight lifting, shadow boxing, sparring, and other cardio excercises are important. The strength of a punch and retraction comes from everywhere. It is important to train your entire body. Abs, back, and shoulders are probably some of the more key muscles though.

However, the best way to train for a fight is to spar another person. This however should only be done if the person actually knows what they are doing. Boxers will spar each other and practice their foot movement, dodging, blocking, etc and even martial arts like karate will spar perfecting their movements, focus, speed, etc. Wrestling is also a very, very useful fighting style. Their knowledge of defensive manuevers, submission holds, and other close combat type moves makes it very dangerous in real life situations. There are many different aspects of fighting to the way you hold your first to the way you clench your muscles, block, plant your back feet, etc.

Street fighting is anarchy. Its lawless. Its dangerous. It is simply who can tackle the other person and throw more accurate punches. Its savage and cannot be compared to organized fighting. If that was the case do exactly as I said. Just play defensive and try to get the other person on the ground. I think the person who gets the first hit in is the winner a large majority of the time.

Fighting is very serious and comes with very serious consequences. As a person who has been in numerous fights... drunken bar fights, amateur boxing matches in a college club, a life long karate student, and soon to be aikido student, I would strongly recommend against it. And if you are a professional fighter, I would ask other professionals rather than Yahoo answers.

Fighting is childish; I suggest that if you are worried about looking “bad” tell this guy that instead of fighting you should run a race or compete in some kind of sport like basket of soccer. This way nobody will get hurt and maybe you’ll teach others a lesson.

DO NOT FIGHT!!!! It is silly, illegal and it can bring many consequences. Read the article on the link below.

Well first of all you don't need to fight to prove a point!!! So I could see if you were gonna fight because you are in boxing.. But it is just your Adrenalin that takes over its not knowing how to fight but how your body reacts to the fight. Its really not worth fighting. If so it has to happen right there and then. Not like a week later because that's dumb!!! Just be a cool guy blow everything off. Don't let people get to you its really not worth it. If you just act like everything is fine they will get more mad. An they will look like the dumb ones. Just lay back and watch them beat their self's up but they know they can't get to you.

Don't fight. Fighting never solves anything. But if you have to, I would train at a boxing gym or something.

get your friends to hit you a few times. Once you get used to being hit the fighting part is easy.

I'd vote for extreme cardio. Once they're worn out, they're all yours.

Then again why fight in the first place.
