So I was totally stuck on naming my little boy Mason Oliver when he was born, but I wanted to keep it a surprise for everyone. The my best friend buoght a gorgeous great dane puppy and named him Mason...so now obviously I have to change the name...any suggestions? I still want oliver to be the middle name.

Names with an "O" sound in the middle will flow well with the starting "O" sound in Oliver, just like Mason did.

How dumb do these people have to be.....Obviously you haven't had your baby yet. If he was already born then it would be stupid to change his name but since he isn't here yet then yes I would change it. I like the names Preston and James. They both sound nice with Oliver. I would not keep the name Mason because it's just wrong. Why would you want to name your baby the same as a dog? Besides your baby isn't born yet so your friend had every right to use the name Mason since you didn't tell her the name you had picked.

if u had it first, then she should change her dogs name. also, its more important that u love the name for ur child. the first name is what u will call him and the world will know him as, so its more important for the child to have the name u love and not the dog. no one is going to care what the dog is named lol. i, personally, dont like mason. i like oliver though!
