Definitely. I am 69 and went through the surprise of having to bury my husband. I told myself and my children that they would not have to go though the grieving and funeral preparations.

So I have purchased a plot that will hold 10 creamated bodies at a local cemetary. The tombstone is purchased and contains the family name plus first names of my six children, myself and my husband's name.

The will is made.

So everything is ready as much as possible.

My husband and I have purchased a grave site and a headstone.

We bought and paid for our burial insurance.

We have written our obituary and made a will.

When my mother-in-law passed away it was very difficult to morn and plan a funeral.

That is when we took measures to take this part of the pressure from our kids when we pass away.

I have written instructions on my burial.

I worry about how bad it will be for our kids and grandchildren when we are gone.

I have a poem for them to be handed out at my funeral.

I will share this poem with you.

Don’t cry at my grave cause I won’t be there.
I’ll be in the breeze that ruffles your hair,
I’ll be in the sunshine I’ll be in the snow,
I’ll be in the places that we use to go.
I’ll be in your shadow and there in your dreams.
I’ll be in your greetings but not your goodbyes.
I’ll be in the reflection of your loving eyes.
I’ll always be with you and I’ll always care.
Don’t cry at my grave side cause I won’t be there.

We will buried in our home town.

You have asked a very good question. Thank you.

I've thought about it, but am still unsure as to I want. Hopefully, I'll have years more to think on it.
The idea of cremation, however, does sound practical. I suppose that if I was to choose that, I'd have my ashes scattered somewhere.

I am going to be cremated, burying my dead body would be a waste of space

I do not know when, where & how I am going to meet death. After death whether they bury or burn this body makes no difference.

I definitely want to be cremated. I'm not really sure where I want the ashes spread, but I know they will NOT stay in a vase.
