When I run the car for a while and I stop it I heard a bubbling noise. The tan with water was boiling and the water was all the way to the top. But the car showed no signs of overheating. Is it something serious? or is this normal.Should I still drive it or take it to the shop?

Have the cooling system pressure checked and hope for the best that a head gasket is not leaking compression and water internally. Have the thermostat replaced plus a new pressure cap.
I think you have serious problems as a cooling system will only boil if the thermostat is stuck closed if that's the only problem. Cooling systems will not boil without a cap standing still idling if the thermostat's OK.
The temperature gage will not work if there's no antifreeze in the cooling system for the water-pump to circulate.
Did you toss water-pump a belt?

Sounds like the seal on your radiator cap is defective.

Buy a new cap and some premixed antifreeze. Refill the radiator reservoir up to the fill line, not the windshield fluid reservoir. They are clearly marked. Also fill the radiator to within about 2 inches of the top. Twist the new cap on top of the radiator to secure. Also, make sure the radiator fan is running periodically while the car is running.

If your temp doesn't go down to normal after a few minutes, take it to get checked.

Let it cool off then check radiator fluid level. Most likely there's not enough coolant in the engine. Are you running the A/C? My 2003 Mustang used to make a boiling sound when I shut it off with it running and it was the A/C. Good luck!

What's the temperature gauge doing. Sounds like a sick water pump. Shoperoony definitely.

Might be as simple as a stuck or defective thermostat. Garage for certain.
