Names come and names go. Also, I believe Reese Witherspoon named her daughter Ava a few years ago.

God I wish I knew. It's so annoying though because my name is Ava and I'm already 15 years old and I have never met another girl named Ava my age I've always been the only one. Though I must say I wouldn't change my name for the world :]

Yes it's Reese Witherspoon's fault. Now Suzanne Vega has a song about Ava Gardner and Frank Sinatra.
The name will probably take a dive. ;) I like SV but she isn't popular.

Doesnt a celebrity have a kid named Ava, and Emma didnt just gain popularity because its pretty it gained popularity because those people on Friends named there kid Emma.

YES. funny story, I was working at my church's garage sale unloading boxes of stuff to set up the toys department. We open a few boxes, no joke, about 40+ panda items, all from the same person. that was maybe 4 or 5 years ago?

I'm not sure...why did Emma get so popular, why did any name? Maybe just because its a pretty name.

It's pretty, it's got quite deep roots and well...look at where many people are getting it from.
It's one of those names like Emma, they are in way back when, go out, and just come right back in again.
