Broadband and Cable internet are usually the same thing, the only difference usually is the interface used to connect the customer to the internet.
Broadband typically uses DSL to connect the user to the ISP using a DSL modem or router over a telephone line.
Cable is usually provided by a media provider which more often than not provides internet and TV services at the same time. A cable modem is used to connect to the user to the internet.
Typically, cable internet has the ability to provide faster speeds than DSL although VDSL can sometimes achieve faster speeds than traditional cable.

Not much really. Cable is the use of internet through packets set through a cable television line. It reserves a channel not being use by the tv signal to send those "packets". Broadband merely means "Borad-Band" as in bandwidth because it can send broad (large) amounts of data at a time. Cable is a type of broadband internet, as well as DSL and Satellite, all using different speeds, but being able to send and receive large amounts of data through different means of communication. DSL uses a phone line and Satellite uses a special satellite dish (like Satellite tv) and all connect to a broadband modem that converts the signal to a "broad-band" one.

News Flash, they aren't both the same. A chair is ALWAYS a piece of furniture. A piece of furniture is NOT always a chair.
Broad Band refers to any of the faster connections that aren't dial-up.
Cable Internet access is one of the types of broadband.

similar but from what I read recently the cable can be faster, that is in las vegas.
But also in NJ they did lots of Verizon work in the early 2000s and they can make it faster and faster on DSl just waiting out the calbe strategy
This is like Ford, GM an Chrysler in the early 60. Who is best and who will win.
and each month costs more and more for you and me.
