My wife and I are considering a move. We've both lived in Ohio for our entire lives, and have enjoyed the seasons - most of them. We're looking for someplace on the Eastern edge of the country that will still have some seasons. I'd heard that Jacksonville has seasons, and I guess I mainly want to know if there is a noticeable change between them if so.

BUT - if anyone else looking at this has an opinion on where I should be looking, CHIME IN! We love the ocean, and we want to have more fun year-round (we're not cold-weather people) - but I need to be located somewhere with a city to support what I do (I'm a software and web developer).

THANKS!!!!!!!!

Jax is great! I am in Atlanta but I travel to Jacksonville often.
The weather does change but it is not drastic like Ohio (I lived there for several years). I think the pros of Jax being a large city on the beach with the Riverwalk definitly out weigh the season change. You can always drive up to the Ga. Mountains for snow!! Take a weekend and drive to see the gorgeous leaves....
Look into the Mandarin or Ponte Vedra areas

We live in Vancouver Washinton and get a lot of colds and flues because of our wet climate most of the year. We are about 2 hours away from our ocean but our ocean weather is not that warm. we are looking at Jacksonville Florida . can anyone tell me if that would be a better choice for us ? we like it warmer longer through the year. Any suggestions?
