For a lot of reasons. For one he thinks he is above the law. He thinks because of his position that he doesn't have to abide by certain laws. He believes he is above the Constitution. He seriously needs a reality check. The man is incompetent. He also believes that being vice president doesn't include him to be apart of the Executive branch. The man is nuts.

Two things to start you off. The rest you can learn by actually just paying attention to the news. 1. Right after becoming VP, Cheney called a meeting to solve the energy problem. There were no alternative energy people invited. It was only his oil company cronies. The meeting was made top secret and no one has ever found out what went on there. Energy is arguably the most important policy issue of our times, as the oil is running out. That Cheney, an oil man, invited only his oil cronies speaks volumes. Indefensible. 2. DicK Cheney really did shoot a friend in the face. OK, it was an accident. But the, somehow, the incident was not reported, and the man he shot had to come forward and apologize to Cheney. How about it, friend. I'll shoot you in the face, and you apologize to me. These are perfect iconic examples of what's wrong with this man. America will be lucky to survive him.

To put it very simply: Massive and Flagrant Conflicts of Interest best define the agenda of one Dick Cheney.
The guy was CEO of Halliburton once. One of his *Major* business partners in Saudi Arabia was the single biggest concrete & construction concerns *in Saudi Arabia*....Maybe you've *heard* of Bin Laden Construction, maybe you haven't. Point is, Dick Cheney used to be *business partners* with Osama's *father*. Yes, *that* Bin Laden.
Combine this with the fact that Cheney was a *longstanding* member of the Cold War CIA clique that George Herbert Walker Bush was also a member of, and things begin to look really corrupt. As in, Cheney was a member of *Bush Senior's* White House cabinet as well.
And of course, the preferential treatment Halliburton Inc. has been getting in Iraq really *really* doesn't help matters either.
Honestly...that is just the tip of the iceberg. That is just the minimal, "let's stick to the facts" version of the record, it doesn't assume *anything* untoward happened at all in the elections (of 2000, 2004), or in the days leading up to 9-11 when Bush Jr. was trying to *talk down* the New Economy on behalf of his Big Oil buddies....only to discover that while Wall Street listened, the American people *weren't buying* the "Bubble" talk. And why should they? Back then the New Economy was a boon to ordinary working people, a real chance at getting rich and leveling the playing field between ordinary citizen and CEO.
But I digress. Point is the above doesn't assume that Dick Cheney did *anything evil* at all with regards to the elections or with regards to 9-11....and he *still* ends up looking more than a bit corrupt, if not like a total villain.
And this ignores the longstanding trend with Republicans of electing a weak President and a strong, Machiavellian Vice-President who does the dirty deeds behind the scenes (Nixon/Johnson, Reagan/Bush Sr.). This ignores a modus operandi that has been going on since at least the late 1970s.
So yeah. Folks who think about the situation have a habit of believing that Cheney is evil. And folks who don't think about it tend to follow the Media outlet of their choosing, which encourages that sort of radicalization of the competitive side of so-called "two party" American politics.
I hope this helps. ^_^ Thanks for your time!

Dick Clark thinks there is more room in hell to brighten the next generations of mankind and save fuel. Reducing the world population is top priority for Dick Cheney including his friend as target.

Not "everyone" thinks that. Only those who listen to what certain others say about him and don't take the time, or haven't the objectivity, to assess the man for who he is. Dick Cheney is the victim of people who hate, for the sake of hating. Where is the evidence of his evil? They can't show you because there isn't any -- oh yeah, he's a conservative. Well, so am I so hate me too!

I don't think he is evil, I just don't think he does anything. He just takes up space. For the record, I am not a democrat, but I don't care for Dick Chaney.

I think the whole deal is worth poking fun at....you have a president named BUSH, and a vice president named Dick,
I'm actually surprised the bumber stickers didn't play this up back in the day.

He's just a puppet...money is the root of all evil...the "Bush family mafia" is proof of that and Cheney is the "cousin Vinny" to this mess!

It is an example of hyperreality.
When the media portrayal of a person or thing becomes more the reality than the actual person or thing.
There is really no basis in fact. Only a series of parodies, then parodies of those characters, etc..

He is a liar and does not care about Americans, just about the profit he can make with Haliburton. He was asked to find a VP candidate and picked himself. He is the embodiment of what is evil in this country.
