After watching Ron Paul get bullied by Gulianni it makes me wonder, what would his explanation for 9/11 be(naturally he didnt offer a response to Paul's)? If you had to be completely honest with yourself what would your explanation for 9/11 be?I admit Ron Paul did put himself into an awkward position but i think its a position we are going to have to face whether we like ir or not.

I would have to say the short answer is that for decades American via it's foreign policy and globalization, America has been sticking it noses in the business of other nations for years. Particularly when it comes to the Middle East. I also surmise to a certain extent continuous support for Israel was a factor.
With respect to globalization and the Internet, businesses and the media have new means of forcing our culture down the rest of the world's throat. As a example, when I was in the Navy, I was in Dubai, and I walked by a McDonald's; The golden arch was the same, but the brand name was written in Arabic, with a "life size Ronald McDonald on the bench. It hit me right then and there, I thought to myself no wonder so many nations hate the US.
How would you feel if you lived in a place steeped with your traditions and culture and had to see something like that, I know I would be mad. Or if you lived below the poverty line and somehow saw images of Americans flashing their wealth (MTV cribs, My super sweet 16) and all those other shows that give off similar images of the US, over a period of time one can grow to despise those images, especially if it conflicts with your culture.

The second attack on the World Trade Center happened because the first one failed to wreak the havoc the terrorists expected. The date was significant because it is the anniversary of the day in 1684 when a Christian Army stopped the forward advance of Turkey's Muslim Army into the heart of Central Europe outside the Gates of Vienna. The next day that Muslim Army was defeated and Islam began its retreat out of Europe into its current borders. It was also the anniversary of the ground-breaking ceremony for the Pentagon in 1942.
Since you are fond of using video to buttress your stance, you might want to rent a movie called "Working Girl", released in 1988. At the beginning of the movie, Melanie Griffith is on a ferry from Staten Island headed to work in lower Manhattan. As the helicopter-borne camera freeze-frames on the World Trade Center towers, Carly Simon is heard singing on the sound track about the "quaking and the shaking". The song is called "The New Jerusalem". I think that Bin Laden and his boys looked on that as a sign from Allah.
BTW, the first attack on the World Trade Center happened on the second anniversary of the day when Iraq's troops were expelled from Kuwait. Too much of a coincidence for me to discount any role that Hussein may have played in that.

Because salafi jihadist don't like us. See the writings of Sayyid Qutb, the islamist concept of Jahiliyyah.
Its crazy to think that without our support of Israel/sanctions against Iraq, bin Laden would be running a falafel stand in Khartoum.

9/11 occured because of the Islamist jihad against the West and Western Civilization since the very beginnings of Islam.

Because we were stupid enough to underestimate the resolve of Islamic radicals. Let's face it we are and have been at war with them bastards and the sooner we get down and fight at their level, the safer we are going to be.

America and the UK invaded the middle east, so they struck back. Of course, they struck back in a very cowardly and underhanded way. If someone invades my home, I would strike back as well. Neo-cons cry about the "American" way of life, yet have no problem with trampling over another culture's way of life that lives 7000 miles away.
It is basically the neo-rights's Judeo-Christian-fascism fighting Islamo-fascism. Unlike neo-cons, I prefer the truth, even when it hurts, over self-righteous fantasies.

Islamo fascism. There is no other explanation. Anyone who wants to blame us for it really needs to just leave the country.
