i am just wondering if i could get connected out and about or if i have to go to a hotspot.
and how i find out where hotspots are and how to get connected. (i have orange broadband)

You can get a wireless data card from Orange for about £60-70. You put a SIM card in it then plug it into the slot on your laptop. It works a bit like Pay as you go mobile I think, although I have only ever borrowed one for this.

There is a pcmcia data card you can buy from T-Mobile which allows you to connect to the internet anywhere.

I think it is £15.00 per month but the connection is a little better than normal dial up

when you get to "store x" open your notebook and click wireless connection see if there are anythings to connect to. if you can great if you can't then no.

i pull over all the time to look for directions and open my notebook and here we go someone h as an open wifi
