because the manufacturer is a jerk wasting paper like that.
cd's used to come in boxes too. wasted paper there, but at least they learned quickly.

Easy storage and it keeps them from getting tangled. Besides, don't you just hate to see a bin of bras all tangled up like some crazy hoard of lumpy beast? I don't like to think that all of those grubby shoppers fingers had their hands all over my intimate apparel. I love the boxes, with their easy to spot size identifiers on the tops.

Certain brands just come that way. I've noticed that the line for large breasted women tend to come in boxes. No idea why.

Don't know why - probably convenience and space. i actually prefer it when they do come in a box because I keep them in it especially the ones with padded cups - that way the cups can't be crushed and get that awkward shape.

Because that is how the manufacturer wants to package them.
Some have them hanging up, some are in boxes, etc.
