Man, I have those little suckers all over the place.
The "mud" is like cement -- difficult to pry off. And I NEVER catch them at it.
You could spray with an organic pesticide but it may damage the siding. Besides if the daubers build up close to the window, spraying is stinky.
Try your local agra or extension office. They may have good advice.

A Mud Daubers favorite spider is the Black Widow. Which would you rather have around? They are docile and beneficial little wasps. If you want them to go away then make sure you don't have any water pooled up anywhere. Most likely they are after water and soil to build their nurseries. What ever you do, please don't kill them.

Why would you want to they eat spiders almost exclusively. and in the fall hose the nest to soften it and scrape it off. The mud dawbers generally are a very peaceful wasp and not likely to sting you. I personally dont care for spiders so I like mud dawbers.
