The other day I entered a question asking people for stars. I saw that someone else on here did too because it was his birthday. It looked like fun and I didn't realize I did anything wrong. Today I got an email saying that my question had to be removed. All I asked was, "Can I please have some stars?" I really didnt' know there was anything wrong with that. . Do you get points for stars? I didn't think so. I just wanted to see how many responses I would get. I thought it would be fun. Thanks for your help.

I gave that person a star for their birthday and I gave one by mistake when I first joined, other than that I don't star but seeing as you went to so much trouble...here's a star.

According to Y!A Jane on the violations appeals board, asking or begging for stars is considered "point gaming", and would cause the question to be deleted.....

have given very few stars. as far as I am concerned they need to be earned not just given because someone asks for them for whatever reason.

They never let you know why they take questions off, so don't worry about it. They took off mine to don't know why.
