5 months ago my bank put I guess $500 into my account I didnt notice it cause i had a lot of money in my account cause I had a claim for a mva in there. And now they are tring to take it out without me even knowing it. They are causeing my account to be over drawn. I never caught their mistake and it has been 5 months. Isnt there some time frame or something. I have bills to pay with they money that i had in there. It was their mistake not mine.

You knew there was money in there that wasnt yours... and you spent it anyways.. otherwise you wouldnt be overdrawn....it would be mathematically impossible..

Buckle up.. and get used to it.....you have no rights to ill-gotten gains here....

It was their mistake, and they are now correcting it, which is their right. It's not "money YOU had in there", it's money that was there by mistake, and isn't yours.

If you were keeping track of your balance as is wise, you wouldn't have had that $500 showing in your balance so wouldn't have overdrawn.

If you call them about this, they might or might not be willing to waive some of the overdraw fees. But they aren't going to just give you the $500.

go into the bank and explain the postion they have put you through no fault of yours and ask if they will reclaim the money as and when there is sufficent in the account and cancel any charges if you go overdrawn for a period say 12 months to give you time to sort yourself out

You really should pay better attention to your account. They finally caught the mistake and have corrected it. Unfortunately, because you didn't pay attention to your account it is effecting you negatively. Try to get through it the best way you can.

It wasn't your $500. If its now causing problems, see if the bank will give you a personal loan for the amount, and waive the fees. (plead lack of notice, and you didn't catch the deposit)

Next time balance your account.

legally I'm not sure, you would have to contact a lawyer in your state for that answer.

But yea, that sounds F'd up.
They should pay for their mistake.
Hell they make us pay double for ours, everytime we are even overdrawn $5.00, we have to pay them $30.00
woa, that sounds fair.
F the BANKS, those nasty scammers
