Isn't Hillary Clinton similar to Kerry? Aren't both flip floppers.

Isn't Obama like Dean back in 2004. Both were against the war from the start.

Edwards just looks pretty no matter what.

Who will play the part of George W. Bush?

No, Hillary Clinton is nothing like John Kerry. And if the '08 election will resemble anything it will be the '06 midterms. Republicans out, Democrats in. Bush and the neocons have just about guaranteed a victory for the Democrats in '08.

For all the hoopla, I think Hilary is more of a moderate than Kerry.

Your Obama/Dean comparison is interesting, but like Dean, I think Obama is going to lose after a few primaries are done.

As for Edwards, anybody can look good with a $300 haircut. LOL.

As to who will play the part of Baby Bush, let's just hope they leave that role uncast. I'd love to never see another Bush or Clinton on the ballot for a long, long time.

nobody plays shrub like shrub does.

if free elections are truely not a thing of the past in america (and shrub does step down), i'd say the mayor will attempt the role. however, take a look back at '92. in this instance shrubs daddy decided to go a different route, the stand-in- stuntman. it gave the bush family, et al a bit of breathing room to re-organize. that was kinda like a boxing match where the champ walks out and lays down in the first round.

don't get me wrong, i think that bubba's tenure was a great time in america. but while america concentrated on clinton's sex life, the bush brigade never rested. '08 could well be a repeat. wouldn't surprise me to find out some of hilly's campaign funds stem originally from GHWB.

Rudy=Bush???
Both have not much experience in foreign policy before taking office, however Bush thought he know enough to wage a war.

Obama...I dont think is like Dean because he hasnt royally screwed himself yet.

and Clinton...maybe shes a flip flopper...but maybe she and every other senator was misled. OR maybe it was because if they hadnt have voted for the time all their constituents would have had a royal fit and wouldnt have voted for them in their next elections.

I watched the 2004 Republican events with great amusement. Whatever speaker was in front of them would orchestrate the entire audience to respond like little parrots... there was even a hand gesture involved, "Flip/Flop!"

The GOP is a joke.

Let's see: flip flops of recent history:

Bush says he will never let Rummy go. Rummy goes the next week.

Bush says general Petreus will give a report in September that will decide the fate of the surge. Bush declares as early as June that he already knows what Petreus is going to say in September.

Here's a great flip fliop: Bush in 2000: "I will not engage our armed forces in Nation Building. It has never been known to work.."

Oooooh, that's a classic.

Here's another: 2002: Bush says he is going to increase funding for all federally funded libraries. The next week he cuts their funding.

How about: Bush 2004: Declares he is going to fund and direct NASA to begin a manned expedition to Mars. Two months later, denies them the funding.

OK... not done: Also in 2004: because it's election year I'm guessing, Bush declares that he wants to support funding for alternative energy, especially the hydrogen cell. With three months, he renegs on the pledge and with the help of Rove's friends in Congress: he drastically cuts all funding for alternative energy research.

Oh, but them dems, they sure can (altogether now) FLIP/FLOP.

Naw say: Baaaaaaaaah, and go graze.

The analogy to 2000 is stronger. You have a troubled two-term president at odds with Congress, and the primary candidates from his own party are doing thier best to 'distance' themselves from him, while the opposition gains momentum, and looks likely to run a relative of a former President.

There may even be a 'spoiler' candidate (Bloomberg) to split the Republican vote, as Nader did to the Democrats to a small degree in 2000.

If the analogy holds, Hilary will be elected, and, there will be a major Al Qaeda terrorist strike on American soil in the first year of her administration.

I am putting my bets on either Mitt Romney or Fred Thompson as President, whether people like it or not.

Giuliani will go down eventually as we are starting to uncover just how dishonest and how hated he is in New York. More than half of Americans stated under no circumstance would they ever vote for Hillary. Obama can't make up his mind on foreign policy and accomplished barely anything as a senator.

Considering the, "My 5 sons helping with my campaign is the same as them fighting in Iraq" (ok I'm paraphrasing...) I think Mitt Romney would be an excellent replacement for Bush.

Mitt Romney's the biggest flip flopper of them all.
