I know exactly what you mean, my friend.
I have a really complicated life. I stopped drinking cold turkey some time ago. I have to say, that although sobriety has it's good points (health wise, no liver damage, hangover etc.) it is highly overrated. There are many many many occasions who present themselves daily that prove the point that reality is better ignored and obliterated then faced head on.
I am an artist, thus an extremely sensitive and moody person, and unfortunately I did not handle alcohol. Alcohol handled me. at the end of the day, my problems did not go away, and I felt like hell on top of it. So I guess I will stay sober for now, but, brother, I guarantee nothing. It's back to the bar if things don't improve. The hell with handling reality.

Well i don"t think so because i am living a reality life but still do drugs so i think there are more people out there in the world who follow the same path but others who take the path of either reality or drugs.i would rather tell people to take the path of reality and not drugs. Only because you see people everyday on drugs the way they act the way they talk and peoples houses they go to ,to there things ,so thats my point on this question bye

reality is there such a thing really. isnt reality about perception. drugs can alter that perception. but an altered perception isnt always a bad thing. sometimes your mind can be opened to another way of thinking. the people that abuse drugs and become owned by them give the people who can handle their drugs a bad name. me for instance im an upstanding citizen i have a great high paying job no debt and i smoke the reefer everyday. so you tell me am i a drain on society that is trying to escape reality or a intelligent person that realizes that everyone needs a crutch or two to get through this life. some use drugs some use religion some use sports or sex.

Yeah, most people on drugs are not in a reality world. They are busy getting high and it seems like all the people in their world are busy getting high too. People who are always high don't function like normal people do. They don't work or pay bills, or tend to their kids like they are suppose to. But when they are high it all seems to make sense at the time and all though they are really self destructing, they seem to justify all of their actions, because in their reality getting high is more important than functioning as normal people do. Their reality is clouded by the drugs, and nothing they do really makes sense to anyone around them unless it is another drug addict, and then it makes perfect sense.

everyones reality is a little bit differnt. look at lindsy lohan richy girl who couldnt handle reality. then look at the people in the inner cities who do drugs they just couldnt handle reality!! but drugs are the escape!!

Drugs are good for everyone. Without drugs there would many people inpain and many dead illegal aliens from satrvation because drugs were ilegal and their source of income was taken away.
