i've been using the answer opk and i started testing the day my last period ended on the 3rd and from the 3rd to the 10th i was getting 2 lines but the test light was slightly lighter than the control line. i lknow that was still a negative but is it normal to always see a test line even if it's lighter? then on the 11th, 12th and 13th i've had a positive opk test and the test line is darker than the control line. is it normal to have a lh surge for 3 days? also my first morning urine show stronger positives. when should i stop testing will the test show negative when i'm done ovulating?

My 2nd line was always there so it's normal. Some women have longer surges than others, so 3 days is probably you catching it on the way and then the way down. You are not supposed to use first morning urine with OPK's, as it can give a false positives. Here's a good websight for info on these tests.

You should test between 10 am and 3 pm to get an accurate result. I had the same issue with the answer opk's. So to do an experiment I kept testing until my next period and always got 2 lines. At times it was difficult to determine if one was lighter than the other. I also used a different brand the ept kind and I never got 2 lines. So I don't use opk's any longer. I started charting my temps each morning. You might want to try this. Good luck

For the OPK's the test like has to as dark or darker than the control line, so neither look positive to me. That being said, some women never get that definition of a positive, and they take the darkest line they get each month as their surge. Good luck!
