That's what I hear everytime I ask a liberal what qualifications do Obama or Hillary have to be running for president?

Have they run a company or been an excutive like Romney, Guliani or GWB?

Do they have experiance in the Military like McCain or GWB?

Have they ever managed an organization of anykind like Romney, Guliani, GWB?

They are simply two of 50 junior senators! That's it. Nothing else!

PIP - You can't be serious about Hillary. Why not elect Chelsea Clinton then?

I have charisma! Maybe I should be president?

Hillary has accomplished nothing but ride her husband's coattails to Capitol Hill and get her mug in front of a camera since her husband was president. Hillarycare failed miserably. I see absolutely no evidence that the woman has a superior intellect. I do,however, see that she does have an incredible capacity for deceit and ball-busting.

I can't believe you actually wrote that GWB has experience in the military. That is like arguing that I am an expert in baseball because I played t-ball when I was a kid. Give me a break. And don't forget... GWB did run a company... and he ran it into the ground. That is a really bad example for your argument.

In any case, I think your argument is valid... regarding Barack Obama. Yes, he is lacking in experience. But Hillary actually has 30 years of experience as a politician and attorney, and can hardly be called a "junior" Senator considering the high profile bills she has put forth and the big-time committees she has chaired, not to mention being a very active first lady for eight years, work as a national ambassador, and being a partner in a law firm for over a decade.

Doesn't make her the best candidate for President, but to argue that she has no experience is very biased and short-sighted on your part.

In any case, experience is not really a factor in this election. If you owned a company, would you want the new, young executive that had worked his way up... or the "experienced" one that put your company in the hole, destroyed your credibility with your clients, and embezzled from your company? That is what you are getting with most of your Republican candidates. Great choice.

I may make an exception for Romney, though. In all fairness, I think he is a decent candidate that could still impress me. I, for one, am not blinded by party politics, and am not dumb enough to decide who I am voting for more than a year before the election. We'll see what happens, but currently I would take anybody over the current administration. GWB is not a good example in your favor. Neither is Giuliani, a thrice divorced bum who has used the deaths of thousands in the 9/11 attacks just to further his career. I think the Republicans AND Democrats can do better than either of those guys.

This is a "gag" post right? No, not one that makes you gag, (lol) I mean a joke post...

Bush's record of business failure is the stuff of legend. He's never met a company he didnt strip of everything it was worth and leave it in ruins.

He is by far the least qualified person ever to sit in the Oval Office. So the "experience" arguement just doesnt work.

I dont want Clinton there any more than you do, but like I said, the experience arguement doesnt hold water. Id try another tactic.
Oh, and Bush's military record isnt something I would brag about either.

Well if working for a corporation, being enlisted in the Army or any of those things make you worthy of being a President than we would have a million people running right now. Hilary is just as immoral and manipulative as any company executive (though I think Romney is a stand up guy). Obama admits to being a fresh face in the political arena, which I think is what we need. All these "experienced politicians" are from the same school of thought, the same people who have been screwing this country up for decades. I guess only time will answer our questions.

Bush's missteps as President are legendary. It is in line with the missteps he made heading the Rangers and his oil companies when he was younger. When he leaves office, he'll be relegated to a corner never to be heard from again.

Mitt seems successful but verbally can't get out of his own way. Neither can McCain or Giuliani.

Having no experience in Washington is better in my opinion because washington taints you. Personally, I think that the career politician has done the country a disservice since they have no perspective outside of the government. But that's a post for a different topic.

The Constitution states:
No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.
I believe this qualifies Obama and Hillary.

Bush ran several businesses into bankruptcy and was AWOL for his last year in military service. Apparently, his record as a President is matching his record in business and in the military.

Let me preface by briefly defending the qualifications these two democratic candidates have.

Hillary certainly did get experience while Bill was President. That is undeniable.

Some people think Obama is charismatic. That is undeniable.

Now, let's get serious.

Hillary's experience is offset by the fact that she is a bitter, untrustworthy, duplicitous shrew who dreams of leading this great nation down the dismal, dead end path to Socialism. In this age where people arrogantly believe they can attain instant proficiency in any field with no real effort, people like Hillary probably imagine themselves to be great potential war strategists. However, considering her highly flawed judgement in other areas, she'd be a disaster at war planning, and would probably listen to her generals as much as Hitler (sorry, I hate people likening anyone to him; it's intellectually lazy, but this is a very good comparison)

Obama's charisma is nullified by the fact that he has very little substance to back up his speaking skills. Ronald Reagan had a very clear agenda, was a brilliant negotiator, and had the amazing capacity to make people who were steaming mad at him turn into staunch allies. I doubt if Obama can even approach that. If Obama was a paunchy, middle aged white guy, no one would even pay attention to him. The novelty of a young, good-looking, well-spoken black man is going to wear off really soon once people learn the emperor has no clothes.

Obama will implode on his lack of qualifications, he would be great if we were trying to decide whether on not to put parking meters next to the town square. I keep watching of his Howard Deen impersonation - hoooooowahhhhhhh.
The two most vilified women in America are Hillary and Anne Coulter and neither of them could be elected President.
Hillary is on the reasons we have Viagra right now. No one would sleep with her without it.

And GWB did serve in the military and flew an F-4 phantom jet. I love to listen to guys driving their VW Jetta and never served a day in the military but they know all about Bush. Just to pass a little info along. The smartest men in the military are usually pilots.

And Ms Coulter, well she is a darling!!

"They have a plan" Lets see was that a lock box or was that the secret plan they had to end the Iraq war they refused to tell and now refused to inact. I still laugh histarically when I hear "I have a plan" I can not read that without hearing Kerrys voice.

as far as clinton being in the whitehouse. I suggest you read a little on this especially anything by Dick Morris who was in the whitehouse at the time. The middle part of the clinton presidency they sent her out on missions to keep her away from the political process because she was so worthless but yet kept demanding to get involved. She has even said she has changed since being there the last time. Ofcourse without her wet finger in the air she wouldnt have said that either.

You may not appreciate what a vast enterprise the avergae US Senator runs. It's a large, complex, multi-level organization. Still, it's not the same as running a corporation or a city. But then, I suspect if a Democratic mayor were running, you'd be asking how running one city prepares someone for running a whole country. By those standards, you should be supporting Bill Richardson, who at least is a governor, not just a mayor.

Most Americans have not served in the military. I'm not sure what experience of Bush's you're referring to, as by all reports he seldom even showed up for his guard service. While being a soldier is a fine way to serve your country, so is being a US Sentaor, and it gives one far more insight into the operations of government.

Among our greatest presidents was John F. Kennedy, who won the job after serving as a US Senator. Seems like a pretty good precedent to me.

Hillary has plenty experience hiding federal documents from the grand jury for over a year without getting thrown in jail.

She allowed her husband his rights to hanker down with Jennifer Flowers, Paula Jones and Monica Lewinsky.

-
Obama has run Illinois into the dirt.

-
Pssst: Reagan was the Governor of California from 1967 to 1975.
