If you can not plug it anymore on the front panel, try the ones at the back panel. If you have an old computer w/ only 2 USB ports at the back and they can not be used anymore, buy a PCI card adapter that has 2 or 3 USB ports. Plug it on any vacant PCI slot.

Hello; If you have an older computer, and have limited USB ports, you can buy a USB hub, so that you can put it into your computer's USB port, and extend the number of available ports you have... this can come in a few different forms: As I mentioned, a stand alone device that plugs into the port, has a AC power plug, to give power to the added ports. You can also buy a PCI card, that slips into an empty slot on the motherboard (they're the long white plastic slots, if you've got a free one), and the power of the computer would be enough to power the added ports.
The card is more efficient, but buying a USB hub is easier... both cost about the same.
I hope this helps!;

you didnt say what you have for a computer. desktop or laptop. that makes a diffrence. if your port is bad you can buy a card for either one. if you have desktop get a PCI USB 2.0 card. if you have a Laptop get a PCMCA usb 2.0 Card. either way you can add a usb card to your computer which would leave the current ones right there but give you diffrent ones.
$20 -$100 depending on your location and what store you goto level of complexity setting up is 40% complex. put it in the machine according to dirrections in box run cd..
you can do it your self

You can buy a card for twenty bucks or so that will add more USB ports to your computer. This would be the cheapest fix.

make sure you're inserting it the right way as usb plugs have an upright and downright position. if all of your usb ports are broken, you can buy a usb hub pci card which you can insert in your motherboard's pci slots.

Are you trying to put it in backwards?
How about one of the other USB ports?
