I'm confused....were YOU in the affair or was your spouse in the affair? I have different answers depending on the context of your question.

But I guess either way the answer is the same - there is no time frame for any sort of emotion. It all depends on the person and how they handle it.

if you go to marriage counselling I suspect a shorter amount of time, but I think that the hurt might never heal...what kindof jerk has an affair for 3 years and you still want to be with them.

i dont think you ever fully get over all of it. i believe that we need to be careful to protect ourselves in relationships, because some things just can't be fully undone. parts of the affair will always hang over you and your relationship from then on.
