The beatles were the biggest. If you look up the best rock bands of time, the beatles tend to take number 1 or 2. They were the best rock sensation of their time and their work is used, played and admired today. The beatles, like elvis, helped built the foundation on which rock was built.
Queen is a great band and certainly rocketed to sky high in the poll, but The beatles were bigger.
I personally prefer Queen to the beatles.

WOW!!! What a question. We must have alot in common. At least where music is concerned. While I love Queen and regret never seeing them in concert, I'd definately have to pick the Beatles.....hands down. I own almost all of their music. There are some excellent videos on You Tube I found just a few days ago. There's something to say about a true Beatle's fan. Well, alot. Anyway, for me , there will never be another group as talented and loved. If I could go back in time, I'd give every penny I had to see them and meet them in person. Though at the time of their last concert performed together, I would have been about 7 yrs. old.

Queen is definitely fun to listen to and I am sure they would have been fun to see live during the era of "stadium rock." They were very talented and popular, but their popularity was not even close to that of the Beatles. The Beatles started out as just a fun sounding pop band and turned into one of the most influential group of musicians for popular music. They produced so many different types of music and their experimentation was limitless. They were geniuses. Genius versus talent? I will take genius any time, so the Beatles were easily the biggest and definitely the best.

Why do we have to tear fellow rockers apart?!?!
The Beatles will rock until the end of the world. Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band is the most excellent album.
Queen owned the live show, their Live Aid performance is undissable. Mercury had some serious vocals going on!
Lennon and McCartney could sing really well.
Let's just be thankful Lennon met McCartney and Brian May let Freddie Mercury into Queen and jam out!

Beatles were the biggest . It depends if you like short , love songs . Go beatles , if you like long ballads or long awesome rock songs go Queen .
