I had mine done Feb 2006 and do not regret it one bit!

I am much happier now with five pounds taken off of my chest. No more back pain! She will be much happier after the surgery, mentally and physically.

I was only in surgery for three hours and stayed overnight in a hospital. I had no pain when I came out of the recovery room and was in no pain at all while I healed.

The key to the recovery though is PATIENCE. It takes time for women to heal from breast reduction surgery and takes a lot of patience for the breast size to become normal, as well as nipple sensation and scars fading (all can take up to or over a year, though you can get back to normal duties a month or so after the surgery).

I have a whole ton of information for you and your daughter, so feel free to send me a message and also both of you check out this site!

I looked for a doctor that not only had sympathy and a good bed side manner, but also had a touch of arrogance. I seen over 10 doctors and ended up going with the first one. I looked at pictures, websites, everything...to see their work before I decided. Most of the doctors also have patient references they are able to put you in contact with for direct opinions. And don't let the rude person above say fatty......I am 5 feet tall and tiny to have the boobs I got rid of. It's definitely a life style change. Also make sure the plastic surgeon is on the plastic surgery board.

I didn't have one but my best friend did. She had DD's that made her back hurt! So she had a reduction, it was a same day surgery and she was sent home. She will be VERY sore for a few days (keep her on her pain meds) but she will be fine!! Now she has no back problems, and feels great!

Breast reduction surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Tour2india4health Consultants .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America.

Tour2india4health Consultants is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.

No, I can't help you with that particular problem, but I'm five years older than you and my breasts were reduced when I took oestrogen while I was feeding one of my babies. I've never been so relieved. My enormous breasts have been a normal size ever since.
