Should every president in the history of this country pay for all the conflicts weve ever been in out of their own pockets? Or how about members of Congress who authorize the president to wage war? Should they pay also?

To the guy above me. Since when is the US the enforcer for the UN? It was a UN problem, not USA.

Anyway, no it would set a bad precedent and other presidents would not go to war when it is clearly needed.

Bush didn't start the war, stupid. Congress did. Only the Congress has the responsibility and autority to do that in our government. I know you lefties hate to hear the truth, and the media has done a great job of changing history, but the truth will set you free.

How quickly we forget and then casually place blame where it serves us best.

Remember, Saddam Hussein? He had multiple opportunities to allow us to inspect what the UN was supposed to be allowed to inspect. If he had done just that one thing, he would have removed our ability to justify going in to take him out. No threat of WMD's, no working relationships with terrorists, etc. It wasn't what was known in the intelligence reports that prompted us to invade, it was all that wasn't known, but certainly possible, based on what we did know. Again, based on a person's politics, you can twist anything to serve your needs of bashing the president for simply following through on the UN resolutions where they specifically allowed military action to enfore them.

That's an intelligent question... bwahahahaha!

Perhaps you're unaware that as the twice elected president, Bush is acting in the name of all Americans, not for himself.

If you ever recover from your BDS, you might understand this simple truth.

Why? Should the people demand you re-pay them for the education you received where you didn't learn the first things about the process by which military use of force is authorized?
