the number 2 is worth two times the base ^1 of whatever base number system you are using, so in base nine it is worth 18, base 10 it is worth 20, base 11 it is worth 22, and so on.

To figure out what the number is worth, try this:

1) Write the number: 4825
2) Drop the other digits: __2_
3) Add zeros: 0020

Therefore, the number 2 is worth 20.

----------------------------
If you were to ask the same question but wonder what the 8 is worth, you would do it the same way:

1) Write the number: 4825
2) Drop the other digits: _8__
3) Add zeros: 0800

what is any number really worth? can you put a value on a digit? if there is no currency associated with that digit it has no value. Although if someone wanted to buy it then you should put it on ebay. Maybe craigslist and you could barter it for a decorative plate to hang on the wall. Something is only worth what someone else is willing to pay for it.
