there are many buinesses closed, including the only grocery store. what gives? why is so many places selling out ?

Because Joplin is so close people prefer to drive there for better selection, lower prices , ect....

I don't know. But Joplin is close. Joplin is also close to Springfield. We pass by there every weekend when we go to the lake.

Well, there's a dollar general now, and Walmart is only a couple of minutes away.
