I saw this in the morning news, I guy sending flowers to his girlfriend, but his wife receives the receipt, now the guy is suing the flower company for 1.5 Million dollars, for sending the receipt to his wife..

I personally think it's very wrong, he is cheating on his wife, and he wants to blame the flower company, for something that he should not have done in the first place..

What is your opinion on this? Do you think he will win the lawsuit?
I think it's ridiculouse!
Have a good day. :)

I agree with you. He is cheating, and he is unfairly attempting to apportion blame. But I can tell you this. If the flower company sent the receipt directly to his wife and addressed it specifically to her, he will win his suit for he can show what in the law is called "bad intent." It is unlikely he will get the $1.5M. But if that happened he will win and probably settle for $25K.

First and formemost he is a true moron for cheating on his wife. What an "expletive!!!!!!"

I think he should win some amount from the florist and then his wife should get that as part of the divorce settlement.

No honestly, this is hysterical. What's even more funny to me is that someone who went to school for years and years actually accepted the case and thought he could win?

If this guy wins this lawsuit, I'm gonna go make a small paper cut on my hand. Then I am going to propose a lawsuit against my local newspaper for not posting a warning on their publication that states "Warning. Newspaper can cause physical harm and should be handled with care!"

Heck, I guess youd be able to get away with just about anything nowadays!

I agree with you, i think it is ridiculouse. But i still think there is a chance for him to win this lawsuit. I have heard of many ridiculouse cases being won and i just don't understand how, i guess they must have had a good lawyer.First off this guy is doing something wrong by cheating on his wife and he thinks he should have someone else to blame for it. I hope it gets what is coming for him.

O thats absolutely terrible! Watch, Im sure he will win, but only because this world is so twisted now a days that the wrong gets away and the right gets tossed with the wrong. To a certain point it is kind of funny though. Deserves him right for the flower company to do such a thing.

If the flower company sent it maliciously in full knowledge that "she" would receive it before he could intercept it then he has a good case. If they just sent the receipt to the address he gave them as a return address then the flower company will only lose the $'s for the court costs. I know, that bite's too.

Meredith Veira interviewed this guy on the Today show this morning - and by the way she seemed very biased and unforgiving by this story - that being said, I would never condone cheating in any way - however, this man is in the middle of a divorce and the 800 flowers place assured him that nothing regarding the transaction will be sent to his home address and it was sent to his home address - so if nothing else he should at least be able to win a breach of contract suit with them.

Haha. I saw this too. It's funny how he reacted, since he thought it was the flower company's fault. No, I doubt he'll win this lawsuit, since if it is going to court, the girlfriend and wife will mostly be involved in the case.

I saw this as well and I'll probably give an unpopular answer.

He was already getting a divorce from his wife and wasn't even living at the address that the thank you note was sent to. He specifically asked for nothing to be sent yet 1-800-flowers sent it anyway.

He wasn't cheating on his wife, their relationship was over. Legally he is still married to her, but they were NOT together. As a result of 1-800-flowers sending a thank you note, he will now be paying at least $250,000 more in his divorce settlement.

Having been through a divorce myself, I understand that when those papers are being filed and you no longer live together, he's free to do whatever and whomever he wants and vice versa. I think he's getting a bad rap by be accused of infidelity.

It's not the flower shops fault at all, he shouldn't be cheating on his wife in the first place. I hope he looses the lawsuit
