This could mean what you think it means---meaning going to have a baby. Your body was working on getting you ready over the weekend. It is possible that you could go to the office and he ck's you and admits you ---i would take my packed bag with you today. My sister in law went in for a ck, and then went straight to the L&D. I had to be induced due to the baby not turning head down till 8mnths talk about ouch!!!!!! He won't let you go to far past your date so get ready to see the most beautiful miracle in your life. Tell the dr that you are extremely uncomfortable and if he/she thinks you are ready to send you over for your induction. I would take a shower if you can and grab a few things to take with you just in case, if your bag is not packed. Your life is about to change I tear up every time I think about it. she is now 22mnths. Good luck. Journal your experiences it is fun to go back and read those words. My prayers are with you.

Funny story: There is this girl whom I have known for a few months. See her out occasionally with friends. I saw her a week ago and asked for her number, told her I would take her to dinner or something. But I let the whole next week go by without calling, not really intentionally but I was busy and it went by fast, all of a sudden a week had passed and I hadn't called. Then I saw her out again last Saturday. She wasn't mad that I hadn't called, we are kind of friends so it was no big deal, HOWEVER she told me that she did meet a new guy during the week, so she wasn't interested in going out to dinner anymore. I could tell she was sincere about what she was saying. It's funny because I know that she hasn't dated anyone in at least a few months. So, based on that, I'd say go ahead and ask now. You never know what might happen tomorrow to screw things up for you :) Good luck, bro.

I ended up being induced at 40 weeks and 2 days because I wasn't dialated at all, but honestly I wasn't having many BH contractions at all and not in too much pain. So, it sounds like you are closer to labor than I was. Maybe you could go into labor! Good luck. If you do have to be induced be sure to bring magazines or books, board games and anything else to occupy your time. Once I was induced it still took about 8 hrs for me to even start feeling contractions. It wasn't a bad process, but just took some time. :)

It sounds like the beginning stages of labor. I delivered all 3 of mine by C-Section but my 1st 2 I did have labor...
My first born I had no idea of what to expect and I was 40wks 3 days and my hubby and I went for a walk (previous that day Dr. stripped membranes) and about 30 minutes later I was rocking in my chair and just had a CONSTANT lower abdominal pain. So, I went in and took a bath and then laid in bed and then it was about 3 hours later I told my husband I thought it was labor. I never felt on/off pain so I never thought labor earlier but the pain was not going away. So, we went to the hospital and they hooked me up to the monitor and I was contracting every 2 1/2 minutes and dilated to 5.
Anyway... with your 1st you NEVER know what to expect so I'd just call your Dr and ask to be seen now! You might be having baby tonight early morning!!!!
Congrats!

All three of my pregnancies where two weeks late...You sound like you could be induced. Your doctor will probably make a time for you to go into the hospital if you don't start on your own. Nothing to worry about..Your normal. Since you already have an appointment today not much else you can do. Just tell him you are having Pains and they are not going away..He will send you in.

It sounds like your in REAL labor. BH contractions are in the front, not in your back. I would go to the doctor immediately. The fact that its in your lower back points to true contractions, NOT BH. It happened to me and I felt fine thought I was just tired and walking too much. Turned out I had been in labor for 2 days!! Go and Good Luck.

I just wanted to let you know that I was not dilated and I felt stomach cramps, then my water broke. I too was suppose to be induced, but I started labor on my own.
If I would have to guess, I would guess that this the beginning of labor, but I am no doctor. I'm guessing from my own experience.

I think that you are in labor. They say that if you have contractions that are within 10 minutes apart that you are in labor. You should have probably gone to the hospital instead of waiting it out til today. Good luck and I hope that everything goes great.

it sounds like you dropped which is good, bb's on its way! also those dont sound like bh's to me... bh's don't usually cause back pain i don't think... it's prolly the real thing, or "false" labor. if it were me, i'd call the dr. and tell him how hard it is to walk around and insist on being induced ASAP. if you're 40 wks i dont see why they wouldn't.

if they are every 5-10 minutes, i doubt very much that they are BH.
when i was every 5 minutes, i went to the doctor, and found out I was dilated to a 5 already...and i drove myself there!!
get your butt into the doctor, and go early if at all possible, just in case!!
