your own or a free one from a good website

Try this site, it has links to several cheat sheets and overall rankings. But as the previous poster said, you have to go with the flow of the draft. If you're planning to draft your first QB but suddenly everyone starts taking WRs, you may have to grab one yourself.

Of course you want to go with your own and as others pointed out follow the rest of the teams in your league as your draft plays out. However, the "major website" projections are essential for you to get a feel for what others are thinking. So many people use espn and yahoo rankings so its nice to have those as a reference of what others may be contemplating. You might have a player rated 5th at his position, and want him in the third round, but if no one else places a high value on him in your estimation then you can afford to wait and grab him a round or two later. Don't outthink this kind of thing though. Say Jon Kitna is a 7th round pick, but you have him rated as the 5th QB and see value in him as a 3rd rounder. Don't wait until the 7th and hope he falls to his ADP (this is hypothetical, I don't know his actual ADP), but you can probably take another player in the 3rd and be confident Kitna will still be there in the 4th.

I definitely prefer making my own cheatsheet. I like to go into the draft with a cheatsheet that ranks all of the players by position in the order I think ranks them best to worst. You wanna consider offseason moves like new players (free agents / Rookies) and new coaches (Norv Turner RB's always have awsome years) because these will greatly affect thier fantasy performance. Definitely watch the bye weeks for each player as you dont want your starters and backup to be off on the same week. I also like to have a team depth chart with me in the draft to track as each starter is taken and look for backups to my top tier talent. I have posted my cheatsheet on the web at http://www.nflfootballstadiums.com/Free-Fantasy-Football-Cheatsheets.htm, check it out and let me know what you think.

I try to come up with my own, but I use a lot of the free online sites for help. Try Sport Fanatics, Rotoworld, Yahoo, etc.
