I'm buying my husband a Harley as a surprise and I want to do something great. Any ideas?

Because you don't know what bike he really wants. Have your financial matters figured out what you would like to spend. Have the dealership stay open an extra 1/2 hour after closing. Pose (you decide what kind of outfit) on each bike ; getting your picture taken on each one- and get it made into a calender (there are computer programs to help do it--or Kinko's if not risque . Be sure if using seductive poses to be fair on each bike--- so that he's picking the bike, and not your pose. Ask him what he thinks (once the blood settles). Have that bike waiting for him when he comes home the next day with you in the same outfit----- and turn off all the cellphones, pagers, take the phone off the hook, unplug the cable,and send the kids over for a sleep over.

I've pulled this stunt a few times.

Hide the bike in a close friends garage.
make up 5 or more small boxes with directions to where the next box is with the last box containing the directions to the garage.

(Really sneaky) hide the second or third box at the local Harley dealership.

If your giving him a Harley make him work for it, he'll forgive you when he sees the present.

Go to work , steal his car, park the bike in it's place.
Arrange for a co-worker to have a card from you along with the keys.
The shock of the low ( car gone) to the high( new bike) will make the high even more so.

Be sure to be naked or in something sexy and skimpy when he gets home because you KNOW you'll be gett'n some!

If they're delivering it, have them deliver on a day he's home have the driver ring the bell and pretend like he needs directions. When your husband asks for where let the driver tell him your address, then let the driver make him sign for "the package" as if he was the one who ordered it. Your husband will come out to see what's being delivered and be in awe wondering where it came from. Just then you walk out and say surprise.

Yes, hide the bike, get a big box and fill it with packing paper etc. Inside this put a smaller box with the keys inside it and a map to help him find the bike. Great present by the way!!!

Unless you know exactly what he want's do not buy the bike for him. Give him a gift certificate or something but if you buy it without knowing he will be dissappointed in the long run. Take it from a long time rider (45 years in the saddle), let him pick it out. It's to personal a thing to pick for someone else.

I agree with some of the above answers.
Have it in the living room and lay back naked, may put a pillow on the handle bars. With the goody box facing the door and a cold six pack of beer in area of goody box.
If you not want to do that then hide the bike somewhere and just do one of those treasure map things. Have the first map taped to the door he come in on on the door knob and have the maps lead him around until he find it, then have a map to you naked.
Well darn, there just no way you going to get out of being naked, sorry. Just part of having a Harley. :-p

Make sure its the one he really wants ,I don't know your husband but if my wife bought me a bike and it wasn't what I wanted then she would really be disappointed and the joy could become sour . I don't wish to rain on your parade but find out first what kind he wants ,Go down to the dealership a week in advance with him just so you will know for sure then talk him out of it, and Surprise him with it later,He will love ya for it .Dam I love ya just for thinking about it .God Bless/peace
