From the looks of it, it may be John McCain, some say it will be Clinton, or Obama, can you put it in clear view for me?

If McCain somehow wins the Republican nomination, you should fully expect a third party conservative candidate to run in opposition (maybe Paul or Tancredo). The reason is McCain's immigration position will prevent his ability to build coalition with the anti-immigration crowd. The result for this will be Democratic party victory (whoever they nominate).

This will also play out with Giuliani. Conversely, if the Repubs nominate Romney, Thompson, or Huckabee then you will see the business moderates (and possibly even the agricultural sector) jump ship and vote for the Democrats. The truth of the matter is that the Republicans are too split over immigration and so it doesn't matter if the Democrats nominate a boiled potato (or the closest thing--Hillary), they cannot lose in 2008.

Of the candidates currently, I don't like any. It's kinda like the last presidential election; it's either a liar (Kerry) or an idiot(Bush). Thankfully we picked the lesser of two evils. The next president I hope will be (if he ever declares candidacy) is former senator Fred Thompson. He's the one that makes the most sense of all the garbage. No other republican can give Clinton (god help us all) or Obama (god really help us all) a run for their money. Republican White House '08!!

No, one knows the answer to that question.
first is the primary election which maybe held as early as Dec 2007in some states. And the general election is in Nov. 2008.
so it is important to vote in both election for the president.

I doubt it will be McCain. He's almost out of money.

I'm hoping it will be Ron Paul. He's already gained 7 percentage points in less than a week.

clinton will take the democratic nomination... and in turn, get all the usually lazy republican voters off their a** to make sure she DOESNT get elected. she is too polarized within the democratic circles to gain enough support to put her into office. there are many libs who would rather see a republican prez than have a clinton in the white house again. doesn't really matter the GOP candidate.. if i was a betting man, i'd put my money on ol' Fred. he has strategically staggered his campaign so that his run will be in full force and with pleeeeenty of money while his counterparts falter... keep an eye on Newt as well... i've been hearing a lot of talk of him making a run in September this year...

McCain? Are you kidding? McCain needs to just put a fork in his campaign. He's done. I see Thompson, but prefer Hunter or Romney.
