I guess the Palosi tax plan also cares so much.... moving the tax base from 15 to 10% so 5 Million working poor will no longer exempt because they are poor in paying Taxes. Then add the resumption of the Marriage penalty which will cause the poor to middle to pay more each year in taxes.... yeah that's looking out for them...

Yeah, the republicans care so damn much about the poor in the Hurricane Katrina damaged areas that they're keeping them nice and safe in FEMA trailer parks, 30 miles from nowhere with minimum public transportation and no job opportunities.
This way, they'll have their evidence that the Bush administration cares. Just enough.

Yeah, right. Speaking of Katrina victims, how long do we expect to cover the expenses of people who want something for nothing? They didn't own their houses in New Orleans, why do they expect someone to give them a new one? They can work, why don't they? They were paying rent, now they aren't. I support social programs but to me these are the worst abusers in history.

Is this just a sarcastic attempt at claiming the Republicans DON'T care about the poor?
Then how do you define "caring about the poor."
By creating programs that reward those who don't work & removing those rewards when someone gets a job?
And by taxing the living daylights out of people once they start to get ahead?
Don't people see this only traps people in their poverty?
