To get emergency access to files from another account, you can use the "runas" command.

For example, Start... Run... cmd will open a DOS box. From there, type "runas /user:Administrator cmd.exe", then type your password for the Administrator account when prompted. A new DOS box will fire up, with Administrator rights. Use "whoami"to verify.

Bonus points: If you kill explorer.exe before doing this (might not be able to from a guest account), and launch explorer.exe from your new DOS box, you will load your Administrator desktop, and still have windows open from your guest account. Anything you do from this new desktop runs with Administrator rights.

Access the Admin account via SAFE mode...

You *should* be able to safely access it.

Once logged in, run your AV software - and pray your definitions are up-to-date!

If that does NOT work...that's where the possible expensive part comes in.
If you're using a USB keyboard, try a PS2 keyboard. (Or, vice versa.)
If you know the virus and it's codex, you can delete it in DOS (and no matter what Microslut says, ALL Windows programs run over a DOS shell...).
If not a virus, it could simply be a corrupt driver.
Short of that, and having an *experienced* tech go through your machine at $40 an hour, you may have to reformat and re-install Windows.

Personally I'd use the use account to backup everything I need (because everything I need is accessible that way). Then I would reformat the hard drive and start over with a clean Windows.

I know it's not what you want to hear but for me, about 80% of the time it's easier to reformat than to delete a virus.

Firstly try to restore original system setup and with this operation you'll install again drivers for your desk-keyboard. Steps are: Accesories - System tools - System informations - (or System restore) - System file checker. In the System informations table click Tools and then system file checker. After you'll restore original system restart PC and if you still get acces denid to your Admin acc try to change password in the Control Panel. Veradisca & Best Regards, Neven.
