I like the big plays, the strategy, and the excitement from all the action. Different offenses and defenses. Trick plays help with the excitement. Seeing Peyton Manning or Tom Brady running the offense for their teams is fun to watch. Watching RBs like LT or LJ run over or through people while wearing down defenses. On the other side, its fun to watch defenses shut down poorly run offenses and making huge tackles. And finally, I like watching the underdogs, fight back and win against the odds! This is football in the NFL!

The game of football is perfect for television. The ball is big enough to see and the field is small enough to effectively cover with a camera and sound equipment. The same can be said for basketball. In baseball, the field is too big and the ball too small.
Football is intense but there are small breaks between plays so there is time enough to grab pizza rolls, wings, a cold adult beverage... Beyond that, sports is a great analogy for life. There are heroes, villains, human interest stories, great triumphs and horrible defeats.
Since free-agency, players move around too much, you rarely see the great dynasties of old, and sometimes teams bear little resemblance to the previous years roster, so we're really just rooting for colors, but still. It's a great game and I'm glad it's back.

I like it being on Sunday my favorite day for it being an All-American Sport and the Cheerleaders are Hot example the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders.
