almost all the books ive read based in nyc talk about how their parents go to their stuckup country clubs in ct. ive been to ct though and it doesnt seem like that to me. maybe i just went to a different part of ct or something, idk. nothing big, just a random question

Yea, Connecticut is one of the most expensive states to live in. Taxes and property is expensive....neighborhoods are very nice. Not all the houses are huge but they have a lot of character and have that colonial New England look. It is very safe and a great place to raise children.

There are a lot of country clubs and tennis is big. When you read books they probably mention towns like Greenwich which is very upper class and people who work or have apts in the city often have homes here.

just spent a week there
there are no slums
most have nice houses and cars
taxes are high
but seen more snobbery in upstate ny

Just like anywhere else, but more so....

Greenwich -- most people can't afford to breath the air.

Bridgeport -- scummiest of the scum
