You Cons are so irritating.
We Liberals know we're smarter than you guys, but it's so hard to prove it! I mean, somehow that C-student, old geezer Reagan beat the Russians at their own game, and we're still trying to figure that one out.
Then you had George H.W. Bush. This guy really irritated us. He had been a very successful businessman, United States representative, United Nations ambassador, chairman of the Republican National Committee, chief U.S. liaison officer to the People's Republic of China, and the coup d' grace, Central Intelligence Agency director. It was kind of embarrassing that our guy was a peanut farmer. But Jimmy Carter is a very smart man. He just didn't accomplish all those flashy things Bush did! Still, we don't care because we don't have to prove Carter's great intellect. His stellar Presidency can speak for itself, thank you very much.
We Liberals felt the need to emphasize the superior intellect of John Kerry over your lame duck George W. Bush to promote the spirit of academic diversity rather than literal diversity. We feel that intelligence must not be typecast as solely a Republican characteristic. Think about all the fragile little egos of impressionable, young school children who believe in the Democratic party and want to be Democrats. How are they going to feel on the playground when all the Republican kids start taunting them?
You Republicans are just lucky, that's all. Your best known people all come across as very smart, while some of ours admittedly don't display their true intelligence. However, that's just a superficial impression. The reality is quite different. Democrats are smarter than Republicans. I don't know how to quantify it, but the intelligence gap is huge.
The problem is, getting other people to believe this undeniable fact. You guys have Bill O'Reilly while we have Al Franken. It's kind of embarrassing, but only about half as bad as the Arnold Schwarzenegger comparison with Alec Baldwin. But it's all lies. We have very smart people! Look at Nancy Pelosi. She's a former hippie chick and now she's wearing really nice clothes and leading the House.
Kerry is smarter than Bush. Maybe we can't prove it academically. Maybe Bush's accomplishments outshine Kerry's. But somehow, the undeniable truth is that Kerry is a smart guy. Losing the Presidency was the fault of his advisors. Maybe him losing was because he was so smart no one could really understand his genius!

I'm confused by this. Why would libs be upset that you're calling Bush dumb? Most are against him and think he's not intelligent anyway. Bush is actually quite smart, so is Kerry.

If you know anything about Bush's history of having success forced on him in spite of himself, and if you've witnessed even an inkling of Bush's knowledge of law, history, economics, etc. is it really that much of a leap to suspect he had people doing his work for him, people pulling strings with the university to get grades changed, and a team of tutors drilling him for those few tests he actually had to take?
I have a bachelors from a small state college and I'd be willing to go head-to-head with Bush on any topics he chooses.
So the fox analogy wears thin beyond his being secretive, dishonest, and conniving.

democrats were smart enough to not put Kerry in the oval office. And the book that Rove wrote was called 'Bush's Brain' so I don't really get the question.

Rove has been Bush's political strategist, that's how he's been his "brain". Yes, Bush is not dumb, and that makes his lack of knowlege and curiosity even worse. Kerry is irrelevant.

he had a good helping of alcohol before the test and used his dad's influence over to get his test results higher. another theory, he was coached by dick cheney to the answers, a good example of puppetry Jim Henson would be envious of.

John Kerry never attended graduate school. After his service in Vietnam, he went to Law School (and received a J.D.) Subtle difference, but I do think you should get your insults correct.
