HI my dvd drive won't recognize disks anymore. whenever I put in a disks the light flashes and nothning happens. When I check the drive on my computer nothning comes and it says the that the rive is working well. I've even tried updating it and it still doesn't work. And the drive DID WORK BEFORE. IT doesn't recognize CD's or DVD's. any help is appreciated!!!!

Try Cyberlink's Power DVD. If still it doesn't work, it is probably defective.

Make sure that when you put the disc in that it's spinning up inside the drive. The servo motor may be shot. Everything looks fine but the disk just won't spin up. If that's the case it's hooped. These drives quit for no reason all the time. Thank goodness they're cheap.
