Can I sell my share of a house without the co-owners permission ?

A friend and I co-own a house.. I want to sell my share to another friend..Can I do this without the co-owners permission ?

That depends upon how title is currently held. If you are Joint Tenants then your co-tenant must agree to any sale or encumbrance. If you're Tenants in Common then you can act independently of your co-tenant.

even if you are joint tenants, you can get a lawyer and force the other party to let you sell your interest in the property.
