Yes. It started when I was a kid. This is really silly but do you remember the movie Poltergeist? If you do, then you'll know what I'm talking about. Since then, I haven't been able to look at clowns or clown-type characters.

Clowns like Pennywise (from IT) and the clown doll from Poltergeist convinced me that clowns can be freaky and evil. I also saw a really scary clown face on the cartoon Ghostbusters. It was the head of the boogeyman who comes from little kids closets. I couldn't believe that a cartoon could scare the sh*t out of me.

Not now, but when I was a child I remember being terrified of them because I watched the movie called "IT" in which the clown was very scary.

I'm not, but I know full grown adults that are still scared of clowns to this day.
And usually, we all think that children would love clowns.
My children were scared to death of clowns when they were little.
So I do know there are people out there, that are scared of clowns :{

LOL, I can see where people and children would find them frightening. There is something creepy about not being able to discern the face underneath.
I suppose all you really need to have a phobia about them is watch some creepy movie when you're a kid...I still hate sleeping with my arm hanging over the bed because of some creepy show I saw as a kid...no idea what it was but I still remember that scene clear as day so kids are easily traumatized...something we forget these days when we plop them in front of the tv and let them suck it all up, later asking, what's wrong with today's kids?
