no matter which you get - they will show the same movie over and over and over. It isn't worth the money. Join netflix instead.

I even have each and every channel presented by way of DirecTV and that i realised I hardly watch Showtime and Cinemax. HBO and Starz are the action picture channels I view maximum. Cinemax has stable movies yet is barely 3 channels the place as Starz provides Starz and Encore. If I had to %. a million i could get HBO actually.

Any of the stations will show a set number of new movies per month over and over again. HBO and Showtime suppliment these with a way-too-large-number of original series, cheesey softcore porn and some sports like boxing. Your best bet is Starz or Cinemax, where at least they show all movies and only suppliment the new releases with older movies instead of original series. Above person is right--get NetFlicks. The premium channels are really no longer worth it.

Well HBO and Cinemax are the same channel, except for a couple of shows. Showtime is all that great. So I would go with HBO and Starz.

Each station is contracted certain movies to play. You'll never see the same new release on more than one channel. With the exception of Starz, the other channels show a lot of adult shows so if you have children in the house you will need to monitor their usage. HBO plays their adult shows from 9pm to 7am, and I turned on the tv one morning for my kids only to have inappropriate material showing.

What about pay-per-views or netflix?

I've got all of them and I watch Starz the most. There tend to be more of the newer releases on Starz.
