Like the others said, stay away from earbuds when children are concerned. There have been many cases where a child plays with them and forces them deep into the ear canal and causes permanent damage. Any over the head design should work as well as the ones the previous answerer gave.

You would be much better off with headphone style rather than earplug style. It is slightly better for their ears, with less risk of damage the nerve hairs inside the ear canal.

That said, Walmart has sets of both styles that range in cost from $1 to $100.

Kidz Gear are sized appropriately for little ones, and cost only 19.99 - I have seen them at WalMart.

i think for long term auditory health you're going to be better off with regular headphones than with earbuds - if you have to use anything at all.
