I am currently working as a phone representative at a check printing company, where i had to know the diff parts of a check in order to place order s for customers. I have approx 2 yrs left to finish my BS in business/finance. Where i work there is no need for a finance/ or acct person the corp office is in MD. I have been working at my job for 3 mon. I want to get a job that will help me transition into being either a financial advisor or credit counselor, and i am wondering, What type of job would prepare me for that?

start working in the office of a bank, credit union, brokerage, mortgage company etc, even if it is just as an office assistant.
Try to pick a company where you might want to work when you graduate.
