My first name is Gordon, and some of the people I used to work with were fans of a 1930's comic book character. "Flash Gordon" was flying through space WAY before "Star Wars". I kinda liked it, so that's what I use.
The picture is a decoration on my computer desk. It's a plastic model. Took about a month to get it put together and painted. I've had people ask if it's a real skull!

It's the name of my Champions character. I took a noble sounding word, "senator" and spelled it backwards. Then I modified it a little to make it read more "comic-bookish" and ended up with R'tanys.
Stan Lee did the same thing with the Sub-Mariner's name, Prince Namor.

I have a few friends that call me their "angel" & when I lost a friend, I considered myself broken. Kind of went thru a tough phase & I am over it, just didn't drop the name.
