It's on it's way for sure. Menarche (period starts) usually occurs after the pubic hair is "fully grown", for lack of a better expression. Depending on how far along the progression is, it is about a year and a half to menarche when the hair begins to grow. Typical menarche is at the age of 12 to 13. But depending on genetics and even your diet, it is slightly different for everyone.

See, I was totally the other way round. I got my period at around 10 and didn't actually develop pubic hair until I was over 14. I always thought it was odd, but there we are.
Funny how our bodies all work differently.

its part of puberty i have public hair too ive had since i was 9. and now im 11. Just wait, that is one of the first signs of puberty
