About a week ago i was playing soccer and landed on my shoulder. It only hurt when i would put pressure on it, like if i sleep and lay on my shoulder i would feel some pain in the back side of my shoulder. And also when i was lifting weights, on my lat pulls and bench press. So my question is does this sound like something that has happened to you and should i go to the doctor or would it heal with time by putting ice or stretching?

If you're still in pain & not getting better, go see our doc. You may have hurt your rotator cuff or torn a ligament. It would be difficult to diagnose your symptoms without being seen.

Since you are having a lot of discomfort and pain from a week old injury, you need to see a Dr.

If wish to try 2 more days first, then take 2 IB Proferin tablets every 8 hours (if not allergic, etc.. to them) and do on/off ice packs every 15 minutes or as frequent as possible. These tablets are to reduce internal swelling. When doubling up on the IB Proferin, NEVER go past two weeks or could cause problems with your body i.e. liver.

May have dislocated shoulder/joint.
May have pulled (or torn) tendan, muscles, etc.
May have cracked/fractured bone - or even collar bone.

since this hasnt gotten better after a week, you should probably see a doctor. if you wish to wait two more days, than ice 15 minutes on, 15 minutes off. take two ib profins every eight hours if your not allergic. (for internal swelling).

you might have torn ligaments or muscles in your shoulder.
(or just sprained them)
and you could have possibly cracked or fractured a bone in the shoulder, in the back of the shoulder, (such as the shoulder blade?) or even your collar bone. since its been a week i wouldnt wait more than two more days to go see a doctor.

I would get it checked out ASAP! My aunt shoulder hurt for almost a month so bad she would be in tears and she didn't get it checked out. Now she has to have surgery this week because her shoulder is so messed up.

Sounds like you may have done something to your Acromioclavicular (AC) joint, which is where the shoulder blade "connects" to the collar bone. I had some of the same problems that you are describing and when I went to the doctor found that it was my AC joint. Best of luck.
