And I would also like my sons name carved on the front. Does anyone know of a site that does them that doesnt cost a arm and a leg.

Why not try an antique shop they have good things in sometimes.

Unfinished furniture shops will have these. As far as carving a name on the front; that might be a challenge. Perhaps there is someone in your area that does woodburning. Or check with a signmaking company that makes wooden plaques.

I hope you find your box. Have you considered carving your child's name on it in poker work? This is a means of burning the letters into the wood with a red hot poker or similar.

try going to an army-navy military store an getting the wood foot lockers, can put wall paper or paint those or even get some letterings an put on there,

this kind of a thing will never be cheap. I'm not sure of anywhere online, but at this time of year it's worth checking out craft fairs or county fairs.

you may also have luck if your statley homes have a craft fair as well.
